Carpet Cleaning Performance

Everything you should know about when booking a carpet & uphostery cleaner in Edinburgh
F.A.Q,s
1. How will you clean my carpets?
Carpets are first dry vacuumed using an industrial standard vacuum cleaner. If you are sceptical about how necessary this is, ask to take the Sebo test and see just how much loose dirt can be extracted before the carpet is cleaned
Carpets are then 'steam cleaned ' using the hot water extraction method. This involves spraying on a solution of hot water and detergent and extracting the dirty solution back. leaving them clean, fresh and odour free.
Hot water extraction utilises especially developed detergents which are fast acting and non-toxic. It is the method still favoured by around 90% of all carpet cleaners.
2. Can I walk on them after?
Yes, but please keep it to a minimum and only in carpet slippers until they are dry.
3. How long will it take?
I am unable to clean a medium sized room carpet, say 12' x 15',in less than one and a quarter hours to do a thorough job.
4. How much will it cost?
There is a minimum charge of £20 which will cover a medium sized room carpet. If you choose a carpet cleaner solely based upon cost then you will be disappointed with the result. Some carpet cleaners will quote a price as a little as £12 and " it will take half an hour". I can assure you the carpet will not be cleaned properly.
5. How long will they take to dry?
The hot water extraction method leaves carpets damp to the touch and will take around four to six hours to dry. Wool carpets will take slightly longer.
6.Will they shrink?
No. Provided they are fitted with gripper track, tacks or staples. If they are not then your carpet cleaner will tack them down to prevent movement.
7. Will the colour run?
No modern carpets are extremely robust. Some colour loss may occur but is not usual.
